Abstract

The meaning expressed in idioms is the synthesis of a country, a culture of the nation and the crystallization of wisdom as well. Through an idiom, we can understand more deeply about the culture it contains, we can also learn about the cultural background, way of thinking and way of life of a country or people. The study and comparison of the "tiger" symbol in Chinese and Vietnamese idioms is a research topic. Hopefully, through this study, Chinese learners will have a better understanding about Chinese culture through the image of “tiger”.
