The application of information technology for online teaching and learning at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment during COVID-19

Abstract

The paper focuses on discussing the application of information technology (IT) for online teaching and learning at Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment during COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam. The paper presents the practical needs, necessities and the current situation of IT application for teaching and learning in order to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19 in Vietnam. Collecting data from surveys was used to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of using "Google Hangouts Meet" software for online teaching and learning and then point out suggestions for further application of IT in teaching foreign languages in Vietnam.
