Abstract

The research was carried out to assess agricultural land use efficiency and establishing an eco-economic model in Tien Du district,  Bac Ninh province. Research methods used in this study included secondary and primary data collection and household interview. This research also evaluates the economic efficiency of some main types of land use for in Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province. The results show that there are 07 land use types and 24 main land utilization types. In the district, the type of land used for crops of vegetables , flowers, ornamental plants brings high economic efficiency; vegetable crops requires the most labor force. Lands specially used for rice crop, fish farming and forestry all have little impact on the environment. Therefore, agricultural land use models for goods production contribute significantly to agricultural development leading to the increase in gross output and added value. The findings support the use and management of agricultural land in the most efficient ways in Tien Du district.
