The potential of exploiting and developing solar energy in Vietnam

Abstract

   Most of our energy supply comes from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. However, the development of the energy industry solely depending on fossil fuels is not sustainable. Emission from the use of fossil fuels is one of the major causes of climate change and serious impacts on human health. Besides, fossil fuel reserves are becoming depleted. Therefore, it is inevitable to find alternative and renewable energy sources. This article mainly discusses about the potential of exploiting and developing solar energy in Vietnam and the primary barriers preventing Vietnam from developing and utilizing solar energy sources.
