VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF CUTTING PROCESS OF MACHINE TOOL

Abstract

Vibration of cutting process is complicated, because it includes random
chatter and quasi random chaotic vibration which are always accompanied with
each other. The article studies the relationship between the chaotic vibration and
chatter in the cutting process and shows that vibration during cutting is a
comprehensive result of self-excited, forced and chaotic vibrations. This paper
uses computer simulation technology to the chatter and chaotic vibration of the
cutting process. The obtained results better explain some of the vibrations of the
cutting process that could not be explained in the previous study of vibration.
