DESIGN, FABRICATION AND TESTING OF SYNTHETIC WEAR TESTING EQUIPMENT

Abstract

Synthetic wear testing equipment is an instrument used to evaluate the
corrosion and wear resistance of coatings; of the material in an environment
compatible with the actual conditions. The test equipment is built, designed and
manufactured based on: the specimen is tested for wear under dynamic
conditions that cause abrasion combined with a harsh chemical environment:
Harsh chemical environment (strong acid and high temperature); Abrasive
medium (hard ore slurry, high temperature powder gas).
