SWOT ANALYSIS ON THE APPLICATION OF (PHOTOVOLTAIC/THERMAL) PV/T TECHNOLOGY IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Currently, solar energy is considered a solution to ensure energy security and
combat climate change. Rooftop solar energy is being strongly exploited in
Vietnam, but the excess heat loss reduces the energy conversion efficiency.
Photovoltaic/Thermal (PV/T) technology has been researched and applied in
many applications around the world due to taking advantage of excess heat and
significantly improving the operational efficiency of the solar energy collection
system. The content of this paper focuses on clarifying the key factors in PV/T
technology and assessing the applicability in Vietnam with the support of the
SWOT analysis tool.
