Research on numerical simulation methods of press-rolling for sheet forming of big sized sheet parts
Abstract
Many years ago, the research and analysis of the pressing-rolling process forshaping plate slabs in shipping industry had to cope up with quite a lot of
challenges. For such a process, many experimental researches were carried out
on different samples with various technological parameters such as:
temperature, pressing force, deformation level, speed etc. However, this
method not only created some interval incorrectness in the calculation of
strained condition, but also cost quite a lot. Currently, with the extensive
development of information technology and many different advanced methods
of calculation, the combination of computers and softwares allowhigh-speed
calculations with highly accurate results, and be able to analyze complicated
forming processes. The paper presents how to use the Abaqus/Design
software in the stimulation of the pressing-rolling process of the plate slabs.
The research results will assist technicians in selecting appropriate methods to
shape the plate slabs meetingthe required measurement.
