Abstract

Transportations in general and internal combustion engines in particular have been
making an important contribution to the process of industrialization and modernization of
the country, but its negative side is also causing adverse impacts on the environment,
endangering human health. This paper presents the research results and analyzes the
efficiency of exhaust gas after-treatment when running the experimental DOC-DPF-SCR
catalyst to reduce toxic wastes on truck diesel engines circulating in Vietnam. On the basis
of conducting research, analysis, simulation, selecting the optimal solution and designing
and manufacturing a DOC-DPF-SCR processor suitable for installation to run experiments on
the sample diesel engine (D4BB) in operation. Install the catalyst sets on a modern AVL-
Boost test bench and run the test according to current standards. The results of reducing the
emission of hazardous wastes into the environment by means of transport show the
effectiveness of research direction, application, and reliability in research so that it can be
conducted, deployed and applied on a large scale, on a wide range.
