Abstract
The article presents research a influence of cutting regime to tool wear
when milling circular bevel gear. The shear piece used in this research is a hard
alloy coated with CVD Ti (C,N)-Al2O3-TiN. Experimental material used in the
research is 20XM steel. The experimental research process was carried out
according to a Box-behnken matrix. Cutting mode parameters including selected
cutting speed, feed rate and cutting depth are the input parameters for the test.
Experimental results, assessed the amount of tool wear, have built a
mathematical model showing the influence of technological parameters on tool
wear, at the same time optimizing cutting mode, selecting optimal technology
parameters to ensure the smallest amount of tool wear.
