Abstract

The online training model is a developing trend in modern education worldwide and in Vietnam due to its flexibility, convenience in terms of time and location. Online learning of theoretical subjects has become quite popular globally, yet for subjects with a practical nature, it remains a significant challenge, especially for the Faculty of Pharmacy, which has a high proportion of practical subjects. The research was conducted to analyze the barriers to online learning of practical subjects for students. Through an online survey with 406 students at the Faculty of Pharmacy - Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the results identified 5 main barrier groups, including (1) infrastructure barriers, (2) interaction barriers, (3) online assessment and evaluation barriers, (4) attitude and psychological barriers, and (5) technical expertise barriers. Among these, barriers related to technical expertise have the greatest impact on students' online learning of practical subjects. Based on the research findings, some solutions are proposed to better adapt and enhance online teaching and learning in the future.
