Perception and attitude towards the use of e-learning in internal training at enterprises in the Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract

    The 21st century is marked as an era of information technology that has made breakthroughs and changes in many fields and in particular created positive influences on activities, processes of organizations of enterprises; especially the method of designing and implementing internal training programs for employees. To be able to exploit the benefits and potential markets in internal training and access to new technology for employees, this study provides an overview of perception and attitude towards the use of e-learning in internal training. Through analyzing data from a survey of 193 enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City about the advantages and disadvantages of e-learning training in two groups strengths/usefulness and weaknesses belonging to individuals and strengths/usefulness and weaknesses belonging to the organization, the results showed that more than 50% of enterprises have a positive attitude, That proves a potential e-learning training market in Ho Chi Minh City. Researches on this topic need to continue to be interested, especially in proposing possible solutions for e-learning training.
