Production of rabbit IgG antibodies against human IgG

Abstract

  This paper presented the results on producing rabbit IgG antibodies anti human IgG antigens by intradermal injected immunization and purifying IgG by ammonium sulphate precipitation and protein G affinity chromatography. Furthermore, this paper also presented Ouchterlony Double Immunodiffusion Assay and Western Blotting on detecting and quantification of antibodies. In this study, we successfully produced anti-human IgG antibodies in the rabbits. After purification by protein G affinity chromatography, the antibodies were shown recognise human IgG in the human serum and can be further considered as important reagent for development of serodiagnosis applications.
