Abstract

The main goal of this study is to investigate the prevalence of skin irritation from 6 samples of liquid hand wash produced from Ben Tre coconut oil. The samples were included base sample (M1), cinnamon-flavored sample (M2), lemon-flavored sample (M3), orange-flavored sample (M4), eucalyptus citriodora flavoredsample (M5) and mint-flavored sample (M6). The analysis results showed that the size of ears of mice remained unchanged when the samples were administered. However, application of positive control leads to an increase 20.83% in ear size. All six samples did not cause any irritation on testinganimals. The results also shows that the samples demonstrated antibacterial ability comparable to consumer bactericidal soaps.
