Abstract

    The article discusses definitions and methodologies to identify information resources in general and information resources on oceans and islands of Vietnam in particular. It analyzes the current status of the developmentand utilization of information resources on oceans and islands of Vietnam as well as proposes recommendations to further develop these information resourcesto serve economic development and sovereign protecti on of the country.
