Digital knowledge services - important resources for higher education development

Abstract

      Digital knowledge services play a particularly important role, meeting the needs of accessing and exploiting information/knowledge of the whole society, especially this is a decisive resource to the development of higher education. In the digital social environment, university libraries need to change the entire method and content of library services in the direction of applying the achievements of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 to build and perfect digital knowledge services.

     On the basis of analyzing requirements and functions of librarians to provide library products and services in the digital era, this article proposes requirements on capacity and operational methods of librarians/digital knowledge hub to effectively serve the digital transformation of Vietnamese universities.
