Abstract

This article presents the results of a systematic review of the changing roles of university librarians in recent years. Based on an analysis of scientific articles published from 2015 to April 2021, the study identified eight roles of academic librarians, including embedded librarians, librarians supporting digital humanities, developing information literacy and other competencies: digital information providers, knowledge managers, supporting users in other languages, serving groups of special users, and supporting users in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
