Research output of Vietnam National University, Hanoi 2017-2020: An Analysis and statistics on Scopus and Web of Science

Abstract

   This study aims to understand the growth of scholarly literature produced by Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) from 2017 to 2020 on Scopus and Web of Science database. Based on studying ~ 6.700 research output on Scopus (2017-2020 ~ 3.100) and 6.400 research output on Web of Science (2017-2020 ~ 2.800), the authors have made statistical reports, analyzed, assessed the quantity and quality, scientific areas, citation numbers, co-operation in scientific research and the authors with many published publications, etc. Therefore, the leaders, managers and scientists of Vietnam National University would have the general outline of their institutions’ scientific research situation in the previous periods to make the proper decisions.
