Abstract

Interest is signifying in learning and other activities. Along with self- cognitive, interest makes cognitive positivity, helping learners achieve high results, capable of arousing the source of creativity. When working with excitement, children will be active, discovering objects deep and comprehensively. So, the child's psychological functions are formed and developed. There are many ways to build cognitive interest for 5 – 6 years old preschoolers. Thai folk games are a suitable route for children in schools with many ethnic groups, especially children's Thai people. Young children help develop cognitive interest and contribute to maintaining and preserving good cultural traditions. So, children are ready to integrate with the world with confidence and pride in their people. The article mentions the relationship between the Thai folk games and the development of cognitive interest in preschoolers 5-6 years old and develops the cognitive interest in playing Thai folk games.
