Applying online mind map in improving paragraph writing

Abstract
The paper summarizes the theoretical basis on using online mind map in teaching paragraph writing skills. The author conducted an action research of 60 students who are studying general English 3 (GE3) at the Academy of Policy and Development on applying online mind map in teaching and learning writing skills. The research results have confirmed the role of online mind map in improving paragraph writing skills: helping students develop ideas and arrange ideas in a coherent and cohesive way; creating an environment to practice writing skills while reinforcing and developing independent thinking for students.
