Lessons learned throught 4 years experiences of using information technology in credit-based training management at Hanoi Open University

Abstract

Receiving the Decision of the Ministry of Education and Training, from the 2012-2013 academic year, the Hanoi Open University (HOU) has piloted and then expanded the mode of credit-based training for all levels and types of training since the University course 2014-2015. To overcome “Training management” - the biggest difficult in credit-based training mode, from the beginning, the University has mandated the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT-HOU) and the Online Technology and Services Center (OTSC) at FIT-HOU to deploy the application of IT in Credit-based trainiang management all over the University.
In this article, the author reviews experiences from initial pilots in the implementation of IT training management at Hanoi Open University and analyzes the achieved results, then proposes measures to ensure the effective management of credit-based training using IT application.
