Some factors affect the approach and use of clean water of the people in developed countries

Abstract

    Currently, in African and Asian developing countries, access to clean water remains a major challenge. Through available studies, this paper syntheses and analyses demographic, economic and social factors influencing household's access and usage to clean water in developing countries. Some of these factors analyzed are: gender, household income, level of education, household size and composition, location and distance to water sources. This paper provides policy-makers and communities with information, knowledge and lessons which are scientific bases for finding effective solutions to access and use water in developing countries, contributing to sustainable development.
