Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly vital role in daily life
and the economy, yet it also presents numerous ethical challenges. Consequently, educating
university students on AI ethics is essential. This article examines the role of higher education
in equipping students with knowledge of AI ethics, fostering not only technical proficiency but
also social responsibility in the application and development of AI technologies. In universities
across Da Nang city, although AI training programs have been introduced, education on
AI ethics remains insufficiently emphasized. Existing curricula primarily focus on technical
competencies while overlooking critical ethical considerations. The challenges in AI ethics
education stem from a lack of comprehensive materials, limited instructor expertise, and a
gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. In response, this study proposes
several solutions to enhance the quality and effectiveness of AI ethics education, including the
development of a comprehensive curriculum, the enhancement of faculty expertise, and the
strengthening of collaboration between universities and industry to better integrate academic
learning with real-world practice.
