Abstract
Pancreatic cancer is among the most malignant type of gastrointestinal cancer. Surgery is considered the only radical method in pancreatic cancer in general and pancreatic cancer of the body and tail in particular. Radical antegrade modular pancreatosplenectomy (RAMPS) is a new technique with advantages in dissecting lymph nodes and tumors compared to conventional distal pancreatectomy. We would like to report two cases of pancreatic cancer of the body and tail undergoing RAMPS procedures. In general, this is a safe and effective method that should be further studied and applied in clinical practice to improve lymph node dissection and overall survival for patients with body/tail pancreatic cancer.
