PERCEPTION AND ATTITUDE OF RURAL PEOPLE ABOUT CURRENT ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Abstract

Based on the results of an actual survey in Van Lang commune, Hung Ha district,
Thai Binh province in 2023, the article deeper focus on understanding and analyzing the
current awareness and attitudes of rural people regarding various aspects of environmental
protection. The analysis is based on survey evidence which have had explored from the
perspective of multivariate correlations such as gender, age, education, type of household
occupation and household living standard. From sociological analysis, it can be seen that the
awareness on environmental protection of the local people is quite good, reflected in the level
of interest and attitude towards environmental protection issues, as well as its effects on the
daily life of households and communities. People’s education level has a positive correlation
with their desired needs in environmental protection. Household living standards are
significantly differ in terms of concerns about environmental pollution and environmental
protection in rural areas
