Application of gis technology and multi-criteria analysis method in evaluating the reasonableness of land planning plan for educational and training establishments for the period 2021-2030 in Ha Tinh city, Ha Tinh province

Abstract

An efficient land management system requires an assessment of the feasibility of land use planning options. In Vietnam, the education sector is considered a top national priority, and it is necessary to allocate education and training facilities in suitable locations to meet the requirements effectively. In this study, the author aims to evaluate the feasibility of three planning options for education and training facilities  in Ha Tinh city. The methods used include literature synthesis, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) multi-criteria analysis, GIS spatial analysis, field testing, and expert consultation. As a result, the research proposes eight evaluation criteria and establishes an evaluation process for feasibility. Based on this, an assessment of the feasibility of the location of educational facilities in Ha Tinh city until 2030 is conducted.
