Abstract

Hoa Lien weir dam is an item of Hoa Lien water plant project. It is built on Cu De river in Nam My village, Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city. The surface layer of the foundation is the accretion (apQ) is mainly composed of pebbles, gravel, sand and rolling boulders ranging in size from 5cm to 30cm, especially with boulders larger than 30cm in diameter, layer thickness at the deepest position up to 12.4m. The taget of Hoa Lien weir dam is to create a water source for Hoa Lien Water Plant, so waterproofing requirements for the weir dam are very important. Currently, there are many waterproofing solutions for irrigation works, but with the in complex geological conditions, cement mortar drilling solution is the most suitable to apply. Through the calculation results, the solution for waterproofing by cement mortar drilling consists of 03 rows, the distance between the rows is 2.0m, the distance between the drill holes is 3.0m to ensure the waterproofing requirements. The results of the test drilling by the water pressure showed that the waterproofing membrane met the requirements of waterproofing and the weir dam had accumulated water to the normal water level to put it into operation.
