Abstract

Drought often occurs in the South Central region and becomes increasingly serious, causing difficulties for people's lives and affecting on the socio-economic development in the region. The institutional and policy system on drought has been issued by the central and local Government; however, it is still limited in the coordination and management of drought among the concerned organizations. This article presents the initial research results on institution and policy in Vietnam and the South Central region on drought as well as offers solutions to improve institution and policy on drought management in the South Central region.
