Abstract

A Vuong 3 hydropower construction is a daily regulary hydropower that has low head using Kaplan turbine. This construction was operated from August 2016, but this hydropower did not achieve the capacity by design although the upstream reservoir was full. This paper studied the causes of limited capacity and proposes a method to resolve, dredging the bed downstream chanal is a solution to improve the effective energy of this hydropower.
