Abstract

In this study, the wave was simulated by numerical model, with the calculation support tool being the open source software TELEMAC2D combination with the TOMAWAC module. The model results showed that in monsoon season, the wave in the two areas on the EastSea and the WestSea is markedly different, the EastSea wave in this season is strong, the mainstream wave gradually changes in the direction Clockwise from (EEN) direction (EES) and from offshore to shore. Meanwhile, the West Sea wave is quite weak, the wave direction gradually changes in the opposite direction of the clock from the direction (EN) to the direction (NNE), the wave tends to transmit from the shore to the sea. In the monsoon, the southwest coast of Ca Mau cape appears divergent wave area, where meet of two waves by the WestSea and the EastSea.

In summer wave offshore of the EastSea, there are two main directions (WSW) and (SW). Meanwhile, the waves offshore the WestSea are mainly West (W) and (WSW), the more they shift to the North, the more dominant the West is. WestSea waves this season are often stronger than those in the EastSea. In this summer, the wave convergence at nearshore on the southwestern area of ​​Ca Mau cape, there is a point of convergence wave at the protruding land area.
