Abstract

Up to now, the Pillar dam has been applied widely and effectively in the whole country for the construction of river works. The Vietnamese standards for the design and construction of support dams have also been issued. In the application process, the horizontal displacement criterion of the support foundation still has some problems. This paper presents the scientific basis for chose the horizontal pillar dam for design calculation and application to the Pillar dams of Song Hieu - Quang Tri.
