Abstract

Aquaculture production areas in Kien Giang province are planned to be largest intensive aquaculture farm in Vietnam. According to the plan, there will be an aquacultural park of 3000 hectares with the expected productivity of 35-40 ton/ha. In order to achieve those goals, many solutions must be applied simultaneously, in which, solution for water supply is the most challenging issue. This paper presents preliminary results in establishing a water supply scheme of the project as requested by the Government. The orientations on both fresh and saline water supply and the associated structural solutions are also addressed in this paper, especially the implementation of a large-scale off-shore pumping station system
