STUDYING THE SITUATION OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN DONG TRIEU TOWN, QUANG NINH PROVINCE

Abstract

Dong Trieu town has many potential advantages for tourism development. Dong Trieu tourism has had successful models, promising good development. However, currently there is a lack of research on the current status of tourism development in a comprehensive and detailed way. Therefore, this study aims to create a scientific basis for the locality to develop a tourism development orientation in Dong Trieu town. Therefore, the study presented field survey results at 3 routes: Dong Trieu town center, Yen Duc village area and other surrounding areas. Several methods were applied, including observation, interview, record, photographing and collection of local data and documents on the current situation of exploitation of tourism resources, current status of route exploitation, points, products and activities. From there, the strengths and weaknesses of tourism in Dong Trieu town have been assessed; and thus several solutions to develop tourism in the locality, in order to make Dong Trieu town an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists were proposed.
