TEACHER RESPECTING VIRTUE IN NGUYEN BINH KHIEM FUNERAL ORATION BY DINH THOI TRUNG

Abstract

Nguyen Binh Khiem funeral oration (Van te Tuyet Giang phu tu) is a valuable piece of work, was written by Dinh Thoi Trung. It described one of the most beloved and respected educator, Nguyen Binh Khiem, who embodies both morality, knowledge and good values. The oration also emphasizes ethics of respecting and revering teachers which was originally influenced by Chinese Confucianism. The description qualitative method is applied in this researcher. Besides, the author also makes comparison between the work is content and Confucianism philosophy to emphasize its value. This study sets its aim at analyzing these values of the work with a view to making it more popular to readers, especially different student generations.
