DEVELOP COMTENT OF EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES PROGRAM INTEGRATED WITH NATIONAL DEFENSE AND SECURITY EDUCATION FOR ELEMENTARY AN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT THE CENTER FOR NATIONAL DEFENSE AND SECURITY EDUCATION OF THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

In order to contribute to improving the effectiveness of national defense and security education for elementary and junior high school students at schools, there is a need to renovate the form of education, in which: organizing extracurricular activities are a form of school interest.  The problem is, the content of the extracurricular activity program is suitable to the physiological characteristics of students' age, suitable to practical conditions and to meet the goals and requirements of  defense and security education for students.  From the theoretical and practical basis, we have developed the content of extracurricular activities program, in order to integrate defense and security education for students, at the Center for National Defense and Security Education of Thai Nguyen University, with these four parts: Learning to be a soldier;  Life skills;  Folk games and Military games.  Through the experiment results, initial steps have brought about certain effectiveness, contributing to improving the effectiveness of national defense and security education for elementary and junior high school students in the current period.
