Abstract

The 2018 general education program has had a great impact on different subjects in education, especially teachers and students. The 2018 program sets out requirements for teachers to change awareness, teaching methods and activities related to teaching. To address the challenges and capitalize on the positive impacts of the 2018 Program, appropriate policy change for teachers is needed. The content of the article summarizes the process of implementing the 2018 Program and issues arising in practice related to teachers in general education institutions. By means of an overview study of a number of research results on issues related to aspects of teachers' professional activities, the authors offer a systematic approach to assess the impact of the implementation of the 2018 Program in practice as well as the impacts of the new Program on teachers' professional activities in many aspects. Since then, a number of issues need to be researched and clarified in theory and practice, contributing to the adjustment of policies related to professional activities of teachers of high schools in accordance with current educational innovation requirements.
