CURRENT SITUATION OF DEVELOPING TEACHING STAFF IN ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAMS AT UNIVERSITIES UNDER THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article aims to assess the current situation of developing teaching staff to implement advanced programs at universities under Thai Nguyen University. This paper finds out the cause of the situation, thereby, proposing solutions to develop the teaching staff in terms of quantity and quality to meet the requirements of advanced programs at universities of Thai Nguyen University. The research used systems approach, practice approach, standardized approach, competency approach and informatics software to process collected data about the current situation of staff development and implementing activities to develop teaching staff participating in advanced training programs. Research results show that the planning, recruitment assignment,  training, inspection and evaluation of lecturers of advanced training programs still had some limitations and inadequacies, which had not really met the requirements of developing advanced training program lecturers. On that  basis,   a number of measures were proposed to develop the teaching staff to meet the advanced training programs at universities under Thai Nguyen University. The proposed measures were evaluated as urgent and highly feasible in developing the current teachers of advanced training program.
