INCREASE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN ONLINE TEACHING AT THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

Abstract

This article researches the increasing of using information technology applications in the online teaching of lecturers at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy in the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of this study is to evaluate the current situation of using information technology applications in teaching by lecturers at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Qualitative method was used through an online survey of 292 faculty lecturers of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The research showed that the percentage of lecturers using information technology application groups to improve the effectiveness of online teaching at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy was as follows: 85.6% of lecturers used applications to support group discussions, 42.1% of lecturers used the applications to increase interaction and 30.5% of teachers used the applications to help synthesize lectures. The effectiveness of online teaching of the group of lecturers who used a lot of information technology applications was higher than that of the group of lecturers who rarely used information technology (p < 0.01).
