Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the factors affecting the knowledge sharing to adapt to climate change of farmers in Hoa An district. Data were collected through interviewing 180 farmer households representing the households doing conventional farming in communes and applying the SEM model. The analysis results show that attitude, social norms and behavioural control had a positive effect on the farmers’ intention to share knowledge on climate change adaptation. Increasing interoperability and knowledge sharing among farmers will help farmers improve their ability to cope with the consequences of climate change in agricultural farming, connect communities and promote the effectiveness of agriculture projects. In order to encourage farmers to share knowledge on climate change adaptation in agricultural farming, agricultural extension officers and local authorities may consider creating online groups. In this study, the author emphasizes the hidden knowledge, which has been accumulated by farmers through the process of responding to climate change, and practising the solutions in practice.
