Abstract

This article presents the results of evaluating the actual employment situation of Dong Thap University alumni after 12 months since graduation. Data used in this study is the result of feedback about the employment situation of Dong Thap University graduates from 2015 to 2019. The evaluation of employment situation was carried out according to each major group through statistical results describing the trend of the employment rate in terms of the relevance to the major and the working sector of the graduates. Research results show that the employment rate of Dong Thap University graduates in the period 2015-2019 for each major group was relatively high. However, there had been a fluctuation over the years. In addition, the majority of graduates in training majors had jobs in the government and private sectors. Specifically, the employment rate in the private sector tended to increase while the employment rate in the government sector tended to decrease. Furthermore, graduates who had jobs in the right field of training accounted for the highest percentage over the years. There was an upward trend for group V, while there was a downward trend for major groups I, III, VII, and there was a fluctuation for major group IV.
