EDUCATING CONSCIOUSNESS OF PRESERVING AND PROMOTING TRADITIONAL CULTURE VALUE TO STUDENTS THROUGH CITIZEN EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL
Abstract
The change of social and economic conditions has changed the traditional cultural values of the nation. Therefore, it is important to preserve and promote the national cultural identity with the sustainable and quintessential values of the nation. Traditional cultural education in high schools is a necessary requirement and can be organized through the integration into some of the subjects and extracurricular activities. In particular, the education of traditional culture through Civic Education is a practical measure. This study analyzed the content of the textbook in the current Civic Education curriculum, collected and classified a number of ways to conduct the educational activities through the comments of teachers teaching citizen education at Thai Nguyen high school. The author proposed several solutions to integrate the education awareness of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese people through teaching Civic Education in high school. At the same time, the meaning of the awareness education of students through the subject was evaluated. The article has a theoretical and practical meaning in equipping for students major in political education, and teachers meet the requirements of educational innovation in teaching Civic Education in high schools.
