A CASE STUDY ON ENGLISH COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF THE LAST YEAR STUDENTS AT THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY: CURRENT SITUATION AND SOLUTIONS
Abstract
Nowadays, English is considered as the most popular language and a particularly useful medium for communication, economic and cultural exchange worldwide. Using English well will help students improve their confidence and readiness to enter the national and international work market. However, to determine the importance of it, the researcher aims to explore the current situation of English communication skills of the last year students at Thai Nguyen University, thereby suggests some recommendations to improve English speaking skills for these students. The participants were 350 students in Thai Nguyen University. They were randomly selected by using the convenience sampling method. The frequency and percentage were employed to analyse the data. The findings show that the students are facing a fact that most graduate students have limited communication skills in English.
