URBAN AGRICUTURE DEVELOPMENT IN THAI NGUYEN PROVINCE

Abstract

In the past few years, the agriculture land in Thai Nguyen province has been narrowed to give way to the urban development, and industrial development. In additon to that, food supply has met the needs of people, the environmental quality is declining masively. Urban agriculture development is an inevitable direction that creates high-quality food safety products and protects the ecological environment while increasing income for workers. Secondary data sources are generalyzed and analyzed by descriptive statistical methods, comparative statistics. The research results show that urban agricultural development in Thai Nguyen province has developed in the period 2015-2019, the growth rate of the value agricultural production reached 3.47%. The agricultural structure has had positive changes. There are still difficulties in science, technology and planning. The study proposed some solutions to urban agriculture development for the province in the future.
