CURRENT SITUATION OF THE MANAGEMENT OF STUDENTS' SELF-STUDY AT TNU - UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCES

Abstract

Managing self-study activities of students at universities is one of the most concerning educational activities. It can be said that managing students’ self-study activities is an important form to develop students' qualities and abilities. Managing students' self-study activities in schools will help promote learners' positive social behaviors; as well as, create a good effect on the relationships between teachers and students, between students and students, enhance students' motivation in learning. In fact, although many students are aware of the importance of self-study, the vast majority have not turned their motivation into practice and do not have an effective method of self-study. The study was done based on the basis of theoretical and practical research, analyzing and synthesizing data from questionnaires, with 225 staff, lecturers and 395 students at TNU - University of Science. The results show that the survey participants are aware of assess the current situation of student self-study management, the article focused on assessing the current status of self-study management of students at TNU - University of Science as a basis for proposing measures to improve the quality of this activity at the TNU - University of Science in the next studies.
