RESEARCHING AND DESIGNING POWER SUPPLIES FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS STATIONS USING SOLAR ENERGY

Abstract

In recent years, the infrastructure for telecommunication networks in Vietnam has been making great progress. In which, BTS broadcast stations play an important role in the telecommunication system, serving communication. However, in mountainous areas and islands, the supply of power to these BTS systems has many difficulties and obstacles. To overcome this problem, the authors have researched and designed a solar battery power supply system for BTSs in the above areas with an assumed capacity of 3KW. The research methodology is based on the characteristics and technical requirements of the BTS to select and model the structural components of the transducers. Simulation results with calculated and determined specifications show that the system has achieved stable performance and promises to be a good solution for telecommunications infrastructure in Vietnam in the future.
