Abstract

Using nanotechnology, nanomaterials in wastewater treatment is a hot topic, attractive many researchers in the world. In this paper, magnetic - semiconductor Fe3O4/ZnO nanocomposites were synthesized by simple, cheap chemical methods. The results of compositions, structure, morphology of the Fe3O4/ZnO nanocomposites are evidence to show these nanocomposites containing two phases: the magnetism of Fe3O4, and the semiconductor of ZnO. The as-prepared Fe3O4/ZnO nanocomposites simultaneously exhibit ultraviolet wavelengths absorption, and superparamagnetic property suitable for adsorption, photocatalysis, and purifications in wastewater treatment.
