LITERATURE REVIEW OF MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AND APPLICATION IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Enterprises play a vital role in the economic development for each country, their perfomances have thus been attracted much attention. The main objective of the paper is to systematize management practice theory framework, and then to draw lessons to apply in the case of enterprises in Vietnam. The paper employs the theoretical research method proposed by Baumeister and Leary (1997). The study result has provided a system of the theoretical basis and empirical evidence in many countries about the benefits of management practices for enterprises. Simultaneously, the paper provides practical lessons for domestic enterprise managers to apply management practices into daily practice management to improve performance and competitiveness in the market, especially important for medium and small-sized enterprises. The paper is the first to give theoretical and practical significance in improving the competitiveness of Vietnamese firms.
