MODELING PROCESS IN TEACHING ALGEBRAIC IN LAO PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC SCHOOLS
Abstract
The paper presents the steps of the modeling process in algebraic teaching at high schools in Lao PDR. The research results show that the reality of teaching mathematics is less connected with reality, in which the modeling capacity has not been focused on developing in mathematics curriculum and textbooks of Lao PDR. The research has proposed teaching strategy following the steps of the modeling process with illustrative real life examples. The research results could also confirm the feasibility of teaching by modeling method in high schools.
