CURRENT SITUATION OF USING LEARNING MATERIALS OF STUDENTS’ AT THAI BINH UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

Abstract

The study was conducted with a survey of over 400 students from the first-year to the fourth-year at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The results showed that students mainly use textbooks, reference books to reinforce of class subjects. The library and the Internet are the main sources of learning materials for students. Students mostly skim through the materials in their free time at home / in their boarding rooms, in the library, and during online clinical visit. The number of students using materials in foreign languages and participating in scientific research is limited. With the findings, the author recommends organizing classes on reading methods to improve the effectiveness of students' learning process.
