THE SEASONAL VARIABILITY OF GROUND LEVEL OZONE AND THE CORRELATION OF OZONE WITH METEOROLOGICAL FACTORS AND OZONE PRECURSORS IN QUANG NINHN OF OZONE WITH METEOROLOGICAL FACTORS AND OZONE PRECURSORS IN QUANG NINH
Abstract
This study shows fluctuations in the ground level ozone at three locations in Quang Ninh Province (Cao Xanh, Uong Bi and Phuong Nam station) over time (hours, days, months and seasons) in 2016, in which the ground level ozone concentration reaches peak in the afternoon (15-16h) and decrease in the evening. Data collected from the three stations were processed and fill missing values by ARMA algorithm. The value of the average hourly ozone concentration of three stations ranged from 18.53 µg/m3 to 78.99 µg/m3. Ground level ozone is high in February (spring) and December (winter). In this study, the volatility of ozone is explained by the correlation of ozone with meteorological factors (mainly moisture) and ozone precursors (CO, NO, NO2, NOX) due to the human activities (transport, industries) and the influence of geography and climate of Quang Ninh province.
